Hard Rock Hotel

Transforming the landmark Carbide and Carbon Building into a full-service modern hotel from a 1920s office building, while preserving its signature Art Deco details, proved to be a challenging exercise. The need for public function rooms was solved by the five-story annex, on the adjacent Michigan Avenue site.
